"Mr. Toshihiko Hosaka, a world-famous sand art artist, completed a sand statue to liven up Higashimatsushima City, Miyagi Prefecture, which had collapsed and was remade due to the earthquake on May 1, and was unveiled on the 17th". I visited the other day after seeing the news.

 

The 2.4-meter-high sand statue that was completed and unveiled at the JR Yamoto station square in Higashimatsushima City was inspired by a woman who thinks of a carp rising in the heavens. Mr. Hosaka  started production on April 24th and was scheduled to be completed on May 6th, but the work collapsed greatly due to the earthquake on the 1st, and it was remade from scratch.

 

The work inspired by the "blue carp streamer" in Higashi Matsushima City was named "Shori (victory)" with the idea that it would not lose to the earthquake and corona virus.

 

The work will be exhibited for about 3 months.

Higashi Matsushima City has the Air Self-Defense Force Matsushima Air Base, which is famous for Blue Impulse.

東日本大震災という災害を通して
「学んだこと」「後世に伝えなくてはならないこと」
「祈りたいこと」「残したい風景」を伝える場所として、
森の整備を行ってきました。

這是一個紀念場所，一個傳達和了解災難的地方，
也是遊客和兒童接觸和享受美麗的風景和豐富的自然風光的地方。
生命之林，可俯瞰大海，是一個令人驚驚的景點。

慰霊の場であり、災害のことを伝え、学ぶと同時に、
訪れた観光客や子どもたちが美しい風景や豊かな自然に触れ、
楽しめる場所でもあります。
見晴らしの良い海の見える命の森は、私のおすすめスポットです。

This time, we will show you the sightseeing spots near our hotel.

A dense green island in Shizugawa Bay that you can see from the hotel lobby. It is Areshima, which is owned by the Sato family, an old family in Minamisanriku.

 

Areshima is the only island in Minamisanriku that can be walked across. Areshima Shrine, which gathers local beliefs, is enshrined on this island, and a red torii gate and a shrine stand on an island rich in nature.

If you go up through the torii gate, you will find a small torii gate, and a shrine stands behind it.

If you go further while looking at Moai Rock on your right, you will find the entrance of Cape Lover's point in the north.

 

As soon as you climb the gentle slope, you will arrive at the observatory.

 

Add " the Ocean View Forest of Life " along the route for a more fulfilling trip. 　This "the Ocean View Forest of Life" is introduced in the blog on December 10th.

そして志津川湾の絶景スポットの1つでもあります。

Kesennuma, a town next to Minamisanriku, is world-famous as a shark fin city. The soups supervised by the head chef of the Hotel Kanyo Group are available from affordable to high-end. Enjoy highest quality with rich taste and an elegant flavor.

No. 3  Kamome no tamago ( Seagull's egg )

Seagulls run their wings on the campus of Sanriku's wilderness.
The famous confectionery "Kamome no Tamago", which represents Sanriku, is inspired by the seagulls that play in nature.

No.4  Delicatessn " Variey of Boild fish "

Saury, mackerel, sardines, bonito, cod, and yellowtail are deliciously cooked and can be stored at room temperature in a reasonable amount, which is useful.

No.5  Japanese-style Pecannuts Chocolate

Pecans are deciduous trees of the Walnut family and their nuts and seeds. Popularly called "butter tree".　Candy-coated pecan nuts are wrapped in white chocolate and sprinkled with caramel powder.

No.6   Sashimi wakame seaweed

This wakame seaweed from Minamisanriku is thick and chewy, and has a smooth texture. Enjoy the texture, flavor and beauty of dark green.

No.7 Sasakamaboko (  Bamboo leaf shaped fishcake )

Please enjoy the thick-grilled bamboo fish paste made from carefully selected walleye pollock and sebastolobus macrochir.

No.8  Ox tongue

Umi no Ocha is a delicious blend of oyster extract, shark fin powder, and kelp powder. Finished with a refreshing yuzu(citrus fruit)  flavor.

At Dendenmushi Company, they dye with fresh leaves and boil dried leaves. With this method, they will end up with a sultry "Asagi-iro" product.　All the work is done by hand, and indigo products are made with all their thoughts.

特別な日に、当館レストランにホヤ料理が始まりました。

海鞘可以有很多種吃法，例如：日式意面和日式天婦羅等各種各樣的料理，
您也可以嘗試加熱過的天婦羅，不擅長的人也正在被剋服哦。

海鞘の食べ方は沢山ありますので、
例えば：ほやパスタや天ぷら等様々な料理で楽しめます。

The other day I went to the Hiyoriyama Park in Ishinomaki city, one of the famous places in this area, to see the cherry blossoms.

Hiyoriyama Park

You can see the city of Ishinomaki and the former Kitakami River below, and Matsushima and Zao in the distance. 400 cherry blossoms in spring and 460 azaleas in early summer. Various stone monuments are also built in the park, including the statue of Magobei Kawamura and the statue of Basho and Sora, who made a great contribution to the establishment of the Kitakami River.

I'm glad I came on the day of full bloom !

It was a sunny, warm and beautiful day, isn't it ??　It seems that flowering was about 10 days earlier than usual this year.

Taiheizakura

Taihei Hayashiya is one of the most famous rakugo storytellers in Japan.　Standing in front of this young cherry tree before graduating from his University, he decided to become a rakugoka while staring at the city of Ishinomaki.

2017年，執行委員會成立，活動全面展開。

在面向志津川灣的"南三陸酒店觀洋"的場地上，
我們通過東日本大地震的災難，作為傳達"所學知識"、
"向後代傳達什麼"、
"想祈禱什麼"和"想留下的風景"的地方，
對這片森林進行了維護。

志津川湾に面して建つ「南三陸ホテル観洋」のから徒歩15分程の丘（高台）に、
東日本大震災という災害を通して「学んだこと」「後世に伝えなくてはならないこと」
「祈りたいこと」「残したい風景」を伝える場所として、森の整備を行ってきました。

執行委員會和志願者們在樹木茂密的森林中開山走道，
並陸續建造各種設施，如廁所、小屋和避難所。

実行委員会やボランティアらが木々の生い茂る森を切り開いて散策路を作り、
トイレやかまど、避難場所にもなる小屋など、
さまざまな施設を順次整備しています。

這是一個紀念場所，一個傳達和了解災難的地方，
也是遊客和兒童接觸和享受美麗的風景和豐富的自然風光的地方。

Today, I would like to introduce Minamisanriku Kirakira Don, a specialty of Minamisanriku.

Please come to our hotel to eat the seasonal Kirakira(gliter) bowl !

Received the Jury special Award of  " Food Action Japan Award 2014 "

 

Minamisanriku Kirakira Don was born the idea of the proprietress of our hotel from the desire to liven up Minamisanriku Town in the wake of Miyagi Prefecture's first destination campaign in 2008.

After that, we called on restaurants in the town to make it easier for people who visited Minamisanriku to enjoy delicious local ingredients. Then, it became " Food to revitalize the town ", and in December 2009, each restaurant in Minamisanriku-cho began to offer " Minamisanriku Kirakira Don " that  makes the best use of the individuality of each restaurant. Furthermore, the activities were carried out throughout the year, with " Harutsuge Don " in spring, " Uni Don " in summer, " Akiuma Don " in autumn,  and " Ikura Don " in winter.

This initiative has been highly evaluated, and we have received the special jury prize of the 6th  " Food Action Nippon Award 2014 " as a project of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
