今回はとってもめでたい受賞報告！
当館が主体となり、
復興庁・リクルート様・VISIT東北様と
昨年一緒に岩手県施設と連携した事業である
『Kataribe（語り部）を世界へ』宮城・岩手三陸沿岸部交流拡大モデル事業が、

「じゃらん編集長が選ぶ 元気な地域大賞」を受賞しました！！

こちらは『じゃらん』編集長の審査により、
独自性・協働性に特に優れた地域に贈られます。

評価コメント：
宮城県沿岸、岩手県沿岸といった県も違うエリアにて、
現在認知が高まってきている語り部を広域連携のテーマとしてスタート。
『じゃらん』の制作ノウハウを参考にし、
語り部に焦点を当てた体験プログラムや宿紹介パンフレットを、
日・英・繁体字にて制作展開するなど、
「Kataribe」として世界に発信するという次のステップへと進めています。
震災復興を、独自の観光コンテンツに変化させているという点も高評価につながっています。

震災を風化させず、次の世代に安心で安全な未来を引き継ぐため、
命を守ることや生きることの大切さなど、震災から学んだことや教訓になったこと、
偉大な自然や海の恵み（世界三大漁場）と共生・共創し、
未来を描くことの意義などを世界へ伝える取り組みです。

私たちは、自分たちで仕掛けたことが周囲に波及し、
そこでコミュニティが生まれ、マーケットを創り活性化させることも観光業の務めだと思っております。
東北の「語り部」を世界へ発信する挑戦は、まだ道半ばですが、
必ず成功させ、真の復興へとつなげていきたいと思います。

Sanriku Region devastated by the Great Earthquake
of Eastern Japan (Aomori, Miyagi, and Iwate prefectures)

On March 11th of 2011 at 14:46 and 18 seconds (Japan time), occurred an Earthquake with a hypocenter at a 24Km in the open sea of the Sanriku region.
It was a magnitude 9.0 (magnitude 7 in the Shindo scale) earthquake, the strongest earthquake ever measured in the history of Japan and its surroundings at that time.

A huge tsunami was occasionated by this earthquake with waves more than 10m of height reaching up to 40.1m, the Kanto and Tohoku regions received catastrophic damage along their shores. The Sanriku region which was blessed by the sea received serious damage where the tsunami arrived and numerous precious lives were lost.

There were 18,429 lives among the dead and disappeared. We need to spread to the future world and future generations this reality and experiences, this is the reason we are alive.

In this region, we have confronted several times with natural disasters like tsunamis in the past, our people continued learning the lessons even when we have had numerous casualties.
We have abundant nature from the sea and its blessings, forests, and rivers, we also live our lives with a strong feeling of the importance of protecting lives from natural disasters and to live in society.

We want the people of the world to feel and learn these important things, that is why we keep on storytelling (Kataribe) activities.
Kataribe means those people that want to pass down these important things to the world as a region devastated by a tsunami.
